Hi. I’m Tim Davis. After 30 years of living in the typical working world, I’ve stepped out in faith and formed Rock Solid Coaching. I am taking the lessons learned from my work journey and using them to help others. We will combine my extensive experience and training in sales, management, leadership, communication, production, strategic planning, employee development, personal growth and coaching with real life lessons to offer you a personal, practical and challenging coaching experience.

I live in the hills of Western Pennsylvania with my wife of 29 years, son, daughter, and our third miniature schnauzer.

Rock Solid Coaching’s mission is to help people discover their talents and passions, focus on the truly important, and improve their lives professionally and personally.

The Rock Solid Coaching Approach

“Give a man a fish, and you’ll feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and you’ll feed him for a lifetime.” -Chinese Proverb

In business, it’s easy to see how this adage applies to trade skills such as welding, carpentry, machining, or operating computers.  But what about the so called “soft” skills of leading, managing, communicating effectively, or resolving conflict?  Although these skills are called soft, they are extremely hard to do well.

Leaders are made

Have you ever wished that your managers would lead more?  Have you seen the need for your front line supervisors to demonstrate better communication skills or to resolve conflicts on their own?  Is anyone teaching them to fish in those regards?

The truth is that management skills—and even leadership skills, can be learned. Studies have proven that they are not some gene that only a few people get at birth.  Good teaching, training, and practice makes good leaders.

Coaching offers a better way

Have you have tried some outside training or seminars to help?  Were you satisfied with the results?  The trouble is that we humans can only retain 10% of something we hear or read after about six weeks.  However, if we do something practical to experience what we are learning—we can retain up to 80%!

This is the Rock Solid approach.  We are a coaching and training company devoted to helping leaders improve.  We combine teaching with one on one coaching to implement the learning into practical day to day life.  Coaching is a proven method to accelerate learning, growth, and progress towards goals.
